On December 5, RES Foundation held the third and last training session for employees of RDA Zlatibor and partners from the city of Užice and the municipality of Bajina Bašta, which closed the cycle of education on the topic of sustainable energy, conducted by RES Foundation. For the last training session, we left the analysis of the valid Action Plan of Sustainable Energy and Climate of the Zlatibor District, the so-called of SECAP (Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan), which was done two years ago and adopted by the municipalities of the region. In accordance with the methodology, it is necessary to monitor the implementation of this sectoral document and revise it on a four-year basis. This workshop just considered the possibilities for further action in that direction, at the same time pointing out mutual connections between this document and other activities that municipalities carry out in the field of energy: energy poverty, public calls for subsidies, municipal energy management and the like, which was followed by a discussion on the mentioned topics.

The training was organized within the project “Improving the use of sustainable energy in the Zlatibor region”, which is financed by the German Organization for International Cooperation (GIZ) by order of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development – BMZ).
