In cooperation with Zlatibor Regional Development Agency, RES Foundation held another in a series of lectures for the residents of Užice on the topics of energy efficiency, energy poverty and the use of public subsidies to improve the energy status of households on April 4.
In the premises of the Center for Energy Consulting, the discussion was conducted by representatives of RES Foundation, departmental services of the City of Užice, RRA Zlatibor and residents of Užice who have already been or intend to be beneficiaries of support measures for the energy vulnerable population. In the previous two years, the City of Užice distributed 113 stoves that were made in accordance with eco-design to the most energy-vulnerable fellow citizens, and in the recently completed Public call for co-financing of energy renovation measures for family houses and apartments, intended for energy-vulnerable customers for 2024, allocated funds in the amount of up to 90% of the investment for 8 submitted applications. This was an opportunity to additionally affirm the City’s activities aimed at this target group, to hear experiences and feedback from previous users, but also to repeat advice and recommendations on how to be more energy efficient. The participants discussed the experience and various aspects of using new devices: fuel, consumption, but also the relationship between heating efficiency and air pollution.
Center for energy consulting was established as part of the project “Improving the use of sustainable energy in the Zlatibor region”, which is financed by the German Organization for International Cooperation (GIZ), by order of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development – BMZ), and which is implemented by the Regional Development Agency Zlatibor.
The working hours of the Center are on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
