Subsidies for energy efficiency, energy poverty, as well as energy communities and the use of solar energy were the topics of discussion with women from the Association “Let’s save villages”, Priboj.

The stove “Smederevac” is a frequent guest in households all over the country, including in the villages of Priboj. How old is it on average, how much wood does it use, how does it heat and how does it cook, etc. these are just some of the questions we sought answers to in that conversation.

This lecture was the first in a series, and together with the Regional Development Agency Zlatibor, we will hold similar ones for women in Arilje, Čajetina and Prijepolje. Their goal is to bring the topic of energy efficiency closer to the population that produces and uses energy every day. Women are mostly the ones who start the fire and cook the food, so it’s good for them to know how they can additionally save energy and time? We bring good experiences and impressions from Priboj, convinced that knowledge and accurate information are the basis for making the right decisions.

The lectures are organized within the project “Improving the use of sustainable energy in the Zlatibor region”, which is financed by the German Organization for International Cooperation (GIZ) by order of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development – BMZ).
