As part of the “EU for Green Agenda in Serbia” project, the National Conference on Air Quality Planning and the Third Workshop were held in Aranđelovac on April 5th and 6th as part of the provision of technical support in the development and improvement of air quality plans and short-term action plans for representatives of cities and municipalities.
The conference brought together representatives of local self-governments throughout Serbia, who exchanged experiences in combating air pollution, and the event was attended by Vesna Mitrović and Dušica Radojičić from the Department for Protection of Air and the Ozone Layer of the Ministry of Environmental Protection. During the panel discussion dedicated to air quality protection planning, representatives of municipalities presented their experiences in terms of improving air quality, as well as progress in planning and implementing measures.
The United Nations Development Program (UNDP), with the support of the Delegation of the European Union in Serbia and the Embassy of Sweden, supports 29 local governments in improving air quality.
