At a conference held in the Serbian Chamber of Commerce in mid September 2016., “Combating climate change: Serbia’s readiness“ the head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport announced a new project “Strategy for Climate Change and Action Plan”. At the working session dedicated to stakeholder consultations and participation to the Strategy and Action Plan on Climate Change, Aleksandar Macura, Chairman of the Board and co-founder of RES Foundation adressed the audience and emphasized the role of civil society in climate strategy policy-making process. Jasminka Young, co-founder and RES Foundation board member pointed out that climate policy should be ambitious. That requires energy transition and a strong shift towards energy efficiency and renewable energy sources.
