Efekti biomase na energiju, klimu i zaga\u0111enje vazduha na energetske projekte u kontekstu odabranih zemalja Zapadnog Balkana\u201d tvrdili smo da je biomasa za energiju sporno, ali neizbe\u017eno pitanje javne politike na Zapadnom Balkanu. Nesporno je da su \u0161ume \u017eivot, \u017eivot koji u velikoj meri uzgajaju ljudi koji obezbe\u0111uju brojna su\u0161tinska privatna i javna dobra pojedincima, zajednicama, dru\u0161tvima i \u010dove\u010danstvu. U\u010denje vi\u0161e o \u0161umama i na\u010dinima na koji ih koristimo, poja\u0161njavanje i dogovaranje aran\u017emana za njihovu buduc\u0301u ulogu, njeno kori\u0161c\u0301enje ili nekori\u0161c\u0301enje je od su\u0161tinskog zna\u010daja za na\u0161e privrede i dru\u0161tva. Nadamo se da c\u0301e ovaj pregled javne politike pomoc\u0301i institucijama i pojedincima u Srbiji i Bosni i Hercegovini da nau\u010de vi\u0161e, razjasne vi\u0161e i u vec\u0301oj meri se slo\u017ee oko kriti\u010dnih aspekata kori\u0161c\u0301enja \u0161uma u \u200b\u200bovim zemljama. Trenutno jo\u0161 ne znamo dovoljno.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>U 2024. godini \u0161ume pokrivaju vi\u0161e od 50% teritorije Bosne i Hercegovine (i oba entiteta) i vi\u0161e od 39% teritorije Srbije. Ipak, nemamo dovoljno kvalitetne informacije o na\u0161im \u0161umama, a slabo prenosimo ono \u0161to znamo. Ovo dodatno uti\u010de na nizak nivo poverenja u podatke i javne politike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sektorski strate\u0161ki dokumenti su u izradi i u Federaciji Bosne i Hercegovine i u Republici Srpskoj. Po\u0161to su u Srbiji poznati rezultati nove inventure \u0161uma, do\u0161lo je vreme da Srbija kona\u010dno izradi Program razvoja \u0161umarstva koji bi zamenio zastarelu Strategiju razvoja \u0161umarstva usvojenu 2006. godine. Sve u svemu, izrada strate\u0161kih dokumenata, strategija ili programa, bila je izazovna, dok se u isto vreme te \u0161ume koriste. Postoji osec\u0301aj hitnosti kada je u pitanju razvoj strate\u0161kog okvira za sektor \u0161umarstva koji se zasniva na najnovijim podacima za sve pomenute zemlje\/entitete.
